The Protego DA-E Series is an eccentric in-line detonation flame arrester designed to prevent stable detonations and deflagrations in piping systems. Its eccentric housing helps drain condensate naturally, making it ideal for installation near ground level or in systems prone to liquid accumulation. It offers bi-directional protection and a modular flame arrester unit composed of multiple FLAMEFILTER® discs and spacers. The unit is engineered for maximum safety across explosion groups IIA and IIB3.

Eccentric design drains condensate

Flanges per EN 1092-1 Form B1 ASME B16.5 CL 150 RF (others on request)
Used across chemical, petrochemical, gas, biogas, and liquid fuel systems, especially where condensate build-up is likely or where piping runs near ground level. It’s ideal for inline safety in vapour handling systems where stable detonation protection is a must.
Suitable for flammable vapours and gases in explosion groups IIA and IIB3 with MESG values ≥ 0.65 mm. It offers flame suppression even in the event of stable detonations or short-term burn-back conditions.
Prevents flame propagation from stable detonations and deflagrations
Self-draining due to eccentric body design
Designed for installation in tight spaces or near ground level
Modular disc unit for customized flame suppression
Spare parts are cost-effective and field-replaceable
Compatible with integrated temperature sensors
One or two integrated temperature sensors
Special material configurations:
FLAMEFILTER®: Stainless Steel, Hastelloy, Tantalum, Inconel, Copper
Housing: Steel, Stainless Steel, Hastelloy, with ECTFE coating available
Custom pressure and temperature ratings
Non-standard flange connections available upon request
From forging and casting to machining, assembly, and testing — every step is managed under one roof to ensure consistent quality, faster lead times, and zero compromise.
