The Protego BE/HK-E is an end-of-line deflagration flame arrester specially designed to protect vessels storing ethanol and alcohols from flame ingress due to atmospheric deflagration or endurance burning. It’s typically installed on in-breathing and out-breathing vent lines of non-pressurized tanks, and is built to activate visibly in case of external flame presence. Its unique weather hood automatically opens when a stabilized flame is detected, making it suitable for alcohol storage safety applications.

Melting element triggers weather hood opening
Used in ethanol storage tanks, alcohol processing units, and distillation plants, especially where venting lines must remain flame secure over long durations. Offers both deflagration and stabilized flame resistance in applications with alcohol vapors.
Designed specifically for alcohols and hydrocarbons with MESG ≥ 0.85 mm. Suitable for high-risk flammable vapour systems where endurance burning must be contained.
Prevents flame transmission during long-duration burning
Visual flame indicator (hood pops open on melting)
Weatherproof construction blocks animals and debris
Modular flame arrester allows easy filter replacement
Robust and chemical-resistant design
Design Variants:
BE/HK-E – Standard endurance burning proof design
BE/HK-E-H – With heating jacket for temperature-sensitive installations
Optional Configurations:
Special housing and filter materials (e.g., Hastelloy, Stainless Steel)
Custom flange or threaded connection types
Higher temperature certified models available upon request
From forging and casting to machining, assembly, and testing — every step is managed under one roof to ensure consistent quality, faster lead times, and zero compromise.
